Children & Family Policy

Kids age 5 and under are welcome on our shelling tours free of charge! To keep everyone safe and comfortable, please bring your own properly-fitted life jacket and water shoes for any child in this age group — we don’t provide gear for little ones, since they’ll need to stay close to a parent or guardian the whole time rather than using shelling equipment.

Parents/guardians of children 5 and under should plan for hands-on, one-on-one supervision throughout the tour.

What to Expect: Behavior on the Water

We want every guest to enjoy a fun, relaxed experience. If a young child becomes upset, tired, or disruptive during the tour, we ask that the parent/guardian and child return to shore with the guide’s help, to a designated resting area near the water. From there, you’re welcome to keep shelling right from the beach — you won’t miss out on the fun, just the swimming portion. Guides keep this area lit and easy to find so you can always get back safely.
